Ruth Ann Colby Martin is an American midwifery educator and practitioner with extensive experience in maternal and newborn health. She serves as Core Faculty at Midwives College of Utah and holds credentials as a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), Licensed Midwife (LM), and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Her work focuses on midwifery education, physiological childbirth, and community-based maternal care.
At this seminar, she will present “Strengthening Midwifery Competencies in Maternal and Newborn Emergency Care” highlighting the importance of competency-based education and evidence-based practices in improving emergency care for mothers and newborns. Her expertise contributes to the advancement of quality midwifery services and better health outcomes for women and families.
